PT’S NEW ORGANIC ETHIOPIAN SIDAMO
Monday, November 3rd, 2008When you are in the coffee business, you oftentimes miss out on being able to sit down and relax when you are enjoying coffee. So often we are either in a rush or actively concentrating on evaluating the coffee from an objective standpoint. That is why I particularly value my Saturday mornings. I am able to relax, brew up a Chemex of my favorite coffee of the week and truly enjoy.
This Saturday morning was particularly enjoyable because we just received a very special new Ethiopian. This Sidamo was carefully processed in order to ensure clarity in the cup, a characteristic especially important in naturally processed coffees. Jeff has said that this Sidamo is one of the best reasonably priced Ethiopians we have seen in years, and I have to agree. Everyone loves the Beloyas and Arichas we have had in the past, but not everyone can afford these amazing coffees. Here is a great opportunity to try an outstanding Ethiopian at a very reasonable price. Drinking it now, I taste dominant berry notes that are closer to strawberries than blueberries. These distinct berry notes are complimented very well with a creaminess in the finish. You can try it out here.
