EXCELLENT CUPPING SESSION
I just finished a cupping session that left my palate dancing. It started with our Kenya Ndaro-Ini. While grinding this coffee, it immediately became obvious that the Ndaro-Ini can hold its own against any Kenyan. It’s fragrance was sweet with a subtle but beautiful berry note. Its wet aroma betrayed its origin, with nice light citrus notes and a dominant starfruit aroma. In the cup, the first pass betrayed a nice, bright acidity. As it cooled, juicy starfruit notes emerged with a beautiful undercurrent of cedar. Try out our Kenya Ndaro-Ini here!
The second coffee on the table was our new Colombia Finca El Palacio. The fragrance was very impressive, with sweet cherry notes that were complimented by a subtle currant note. Its wet aroma had notes of full cherry, basmati rice and brown sugar. In the cup, it was very balanced with a nice, tart, cherry-like acidity. A slight lemony citrus note lingered in the finish. Our Colombia Finca El Palacio will be available soon, so keep checking back, or you can sign up for our newsletter here!
